Wondering if she must feel the same, you approach her, letting your emotions shine through your own eyes, hoping her emotions and body are responding to what she sees you showing her. Miles are walked until you're facing her at last, and you reach up to trace your thumb along her lower lip, watching her breath catch as it finds it's purchase upon her mouth and hope soars inside you. Blinds shutter her eyes, and she's pulling away, lowering her lashes and walking to take the hand of another, leaning into them securely, guarded. You'll never forget her.
